What is the difference between dumbbells and barbells?
1. Dumbbells of different weights are smaller than barbells. Light dumbbells weigh 6, 8, 12, 16 pounds (1 pound = 0.4536 kg) and so on. Heavy dumbbells weigh 10, 15, 30 kilograms, etc. There are many options for barbell weight, including 25 kg (big red), 20 kg (big blue), 15 kg (big yellow), 10 kg (big green), 5 kg (medium white), 2.5 kg (small red), 2 kg (little blue), 1.5 kg (little yellow), 1 kg (little green)
2. Dumbbells with different compositions and structures are made of pig iron, with iron rods in the middle and solid balls at both ends. Standard barbell: consists of a barbell rod (horizontal bar), a barbell plate, and a clamp. International weightlifting competitions use the international standard barbell recognized by the International Weightlifting Federation. There are two types of barbells, men's barbells and women's barbells. The main difference is that the barbell bar standards are the same. The men’s barbell is 2.20 meters long and weighs 20 kilograms, while the women’s barbell is 2.15 meters long and weighs 15 kilograms. The diameter of the barbell rod is 0.028 meters, and the diameter of the barbell plate is 0.45 meters. The rubber on the outside can improve the appearance and reduce the noise of the barbell.
Non-standard barbell: The structure is the same as the standard barbell, the size requirements are not strict, the manufacturing requirements are not high, the weight can be freely specified, and the stone shoulders can be replaced. In addition, in order to meet some special requirements, if you need to develop a certain part of the muscles, you can make special barbells of various shapes (such as curved barbells, arched barbells, circular shoulder bells, etc.) according to your needs.
3. Different stimulation effects. Compared with barbells, dumbbells can concentrate on various parts of the muscles and can train small muscles that cannot be trained by barbells. Changing the angle of the hand can stimulate the target muscle from different directions, and increasing the displacement that the barbell cannot do is to stimulate the muscle.
